Not having any luck on my own, I finally gave in and called Lawn Doctor of Ridgefield-New Milford. Since starting the program mid-season last year, I find them always quick to respond to any question or concern in a friendly and helpful manner. Our lawn is very small with tight spaces so the last application was actually done by hand to ensure complete coverage and, with that, no telltale marks from the machine trying to maneuver around our small yard (a big plus). This LD team really goes above and beyond to ensure the best results possible, no matter the size of the lawn, and that their customers are satisfied with the progress of their program. It's taken a little time, but our lawn is definitely coming in greener and thicker this season with virtually no weeds. It's doing great things for our home's curb appeal! ~ Diane W

Lawn Dr. has saved my lawn, not once, but TWICE!! A few years ago I had to repair most of my foundation and my yard looked like a war zone with piles of dirt everywhere. When the work was finally complete, I called Lawn Dr. to rescue my yard. They Powerseeded and after a few weeks of watering, the grass came up and was so thick and luxurious!! The second time was this past Sept. I had discontinued service previously. My lawn got attacked and physically abused by weeds. I once again called Lawn Dr. They came out and performed a weed genocide. Then they once again Powerseeded. After a few weeks of watering, I once again have my lawn back!! We purchased a new home in Guilford, CT over the winter and Lawn Dr. was recommended by a friend. The lawn had been neglected for a couple of seasons and the crabgrass and broad leaf weeds had taken over. It was a hot and wet summer and we didn't think we were ever going to get rid of the crabgrass and see a healthy green lawn. We stuck with their program and did core-aeration and over seeding in early September and I'm thrilled with the results. We finally have a beautiful green lawn and the kids love playing in it. The team at Lawn Dr has been very professional, patient and courteous and the results have paid off. I would definitely recommend them for your lawn care needs. ~ Michael H

I definitely recommend Lawn Doctor if your lawn is on life support and needs intensive care. Lawn Doctor has first and foremost the best customer care, only to be rivaled by it's spectacular results. My lawn was barely that - a lawn. It was mostly all crabgrass, over grown weeds and bare patches but my lawn has dramatically improved - lush, green, thick and weed free. I HIGHLY recommend this company and the individuals that imbue their companies continuous stride for customer satisfaction. Their service workers are efficient, professional, friendly and helpful they come to the door to explain service visit and answer any questions. Rob was very thorough on first visit of the season. I had spoken with Lawn Dr on the phone in the fall about some grub damage. They ensured I had taken the proper steps in repairing and treating the affected areas and that they would also inspect on the first application this season. They stood by their word. I was not home but camera motions showed Rob inspecting every area of the lawn in question. They are very thorough and look forward to a healthier lawn moving forward. I was doing my own lawn care previous to contacting Lawn Dr. and skipped grub control for one season and it was a costly lesson learned. ~ Eric L

Lawn Doctor has been caring for my lawn for many years now. The transformation that took place after they started treatment was amazing. For years now I have had people comment on how great the lawn looks. The Callahan's approach is total professionalism. They insure their technicians are top notch. If ever a potential problem occurred, Dave or one of his expert staff would come out in person to look at and then make recommendations to solve the problem and then followed up within a few days with the necessary service. My wife and I have been clients of Lawn doctor for two years now, with the Yard Armour applications. All this time I have felt safe in our yard, working and playing. The service provided by Lawn Doctor is exceptionally pleasing and friendly. The technicians are friendly, accurate and always answering my questions with helpful and insightful attitudes. The spray to eliminate ticks and mosquitos is applied around our yard with care and thoroughness. In past years, our lawn had a notorious, ongoing battle with crab grass and grubs, even after using some of the top brand products found at HD that are formulated to eliminate these pesky conditions. I'm retired, so I research EVERYTHING!...I needed to do something with my lawn, (I enjoy a nice lawn), but due to some health issues, wasn't going to be able to do what I wanted, so started looking at ALL the Lawn Services...after several months, I chose Lawn Dr....for several reasons, no other competitor would stop by for a walk thru of my yard! Had one quote over the web, via the tax assessor & satellite picture!!!...No, really!!! Erin stopped by, walked my entire yard, made notes & suggestions...then submitted their proposal. Tara, the manger, has been phenomenal...she's responded to every email, been very supportive of me being a "senior citizen" with limited resources...and has worked with me every step...The tech showed up for the first treatment, walked me through it, answered all my questions and was very pleasant to deal with! We have been customers of Lawn Doctor since 2015. We generally do the season-long schedule of applications, supplemented by additional services tailored to our particular situation(lack of sunlight, poor soil, lots of trees). The Power Seeding process has been especially helpful. Tech Rich was here when he said, very knowledgeable and explained and showed me what the problem with our lawn is and gave suggestions to fix it . He also walked around checking dead patches looking to see if there was any bugs, which he didn’t find and described what they look like in case. Gave watering and lawn cutting height suggestions and noticed we need to sharpen the mower blades. Very pleasant! ~ Kevin P

Lawn Doctor has been servicing my property for four years now, and we’re better off for it. Previously I was using their competitor (TG) which was a negative experience, further complicated by their failure to return service calls. On 9/11/2026 we recieved our tick & mosquito service from Danny. As this wasn't his first time at our property we met and then Danny went about his task servicing our property. He did a very thorough job getting all necessary areas and protecting vegetables and herbs. He checked in before he left and we thanked him and told him how much we appreciated his efforts. Being a mom and a dog owner, there safety is my priority. They send text and email when they will be coming to spray my property. They post the little sign with the date of service. I have been home when they apply treatment, and have witnessed that they do an thorough job. Rich went above and beyond with his service today. The aeration machine wouldn’t fit through the gate to our fenced-in backyard, so rather than leave that area undone, he took the extra time and effort to aerate it by hand. My service technician today was Mark D. He was excellent, friendly and his attention to detail of my lawn tic spray coverage. He saw me carrying a heavy air conditioner from my car and took the time to ask if he could lend a hand. Now that’s next level! Hello...Robert Jeffrey serviced my lawn today. He was very polite, very thorough, he listened to my concerns regarding a few scattered weeds. .and he reassured me he would spot treat those areas .. Love the fact that if you see an area that has developed weeds for one reason or another, they will come by and spray as a part of your agreement. Last year was our first season using Lawn Doctor and we saw such a difference with our lawn. The grass even now seems fuller and healthier. We also had an issue with crab grass which was taken care of in just several applications. The customer service is outstanding and so helpful when you call with any questions or concerns.
