Not having any luck on my own, I finally gave in and called Lawn Doctor of Ridgefield-New Milford. Since starting the program mid-season last year, I find them always quick to respond to any question or concern in a friendly and helpful manner. Our lawn is very small with tight spaces so the last application was actually done by hand to ensure complete coverage and, with that, no telltale marks from the machine trying to maneuver around our small yard (a big plus). This LD team really goes above and beyond to ensure the best results possible, no matter the size of the lawn, and that their customers are satisfied with the progress of their program. It's taken a little time, but our lawn is definitely coming in greener and thicker this season with virtually no weeds. It's doing great things for our home's curb appeal! ~ Diane W

Lawn Dr. has saved my lawn, not once, but TWICE!! A few years ago I had to repair most of my foundation and my yard looked like a war zone with piles of dirt everywhere. When the work was finally complete, I called Lawn Dr. to rescue my yard. They Powerseeded and after a few weeks of watering, the grass came up and was so thick and luxurious!! The second time was this past Sept. I had discontinued service previously. My lawn got attacked and physically abused by weeds. I once again called Lawn Dr. They came out and performed a weed genocide. Then they once again Powerseeded. After a few weeks of watering, I once again have my lawn back!! We purchased a new home in Guilford, CT over the winter and Lawn Dr. was recommended by a friend. The lawn had been neglected for a couple of seasons and the crabgrass and broad leaf weeds had taken over. It was a hot and wet summer and we didn't think we were ever going to get rid of the crabgrass and see a healthy green lawn. We stuck with their program and did core-aeration and over seeding in early September and I'm thrilled with the results. We finally have a beautiful green lawn and the kids love playing in it. The team at Lawn Dr has been very professional, patient and courteous and the results have paid off. I would definitely recommend them for your lawn care needs. ~ Michael H

I definitely recommend Lawn Doctor if your lawn is on life support and needs intensive care. Lawn Doctor has first and foremost the best customer care, only to be rivaled by it's spectacular results. My lawn was barely that - a lawn. It was mostly all crabgrass, over grown weeds and bare patches but my lawn has dramatically improved - lush, green, thick and weed free. My wife and I have been clients of Lawn doctor for two years now, with the Yard Armour applications. All this time I have felt safe in our yard, working and playing. The service provided by Lawn Doctor is exceptionally pleasing and friendly. The technicians are friendly, accurate and always answering my questions with helpful and insightful attitudes. The spray to eliminate ticks and mosquitos is applied around our yard with care and thoroughness. Lawn Doctor has been caring for my lawn for many years now. The transformation that took place after they started treatment was amazing. For years now I have had people comment on how great the lawn looks. The Callahan's approach is total professionalism. They insure their technicians are top notch. If ever a potential problem occurred, Dave or one of his expert staff would come out in person to look at and then make recommendations to solve the problem and then followed up within a few days with the necessary service. On 5/28/25, we recieved our tick & mosquito service from Jay. As this was his first time at our property we met and Jay asked to walk the property asking if there were any areas that needed attention. We pointed out one area and explained we have an outdoor party planned for the weekend then Jay went about his task servicing our property. We are completing our first year with Lawn Doctor and could not be happier with the results! In past years, our lawn had a notorious, ongoing battle with crab grass and grubs, even after using some of the top brand products found at HD that are formulated to eliminate these pesky conditions. This year, with Lawn Doctor's targeted treatments, our lawn looked great all season! Dark green, thick and healthy. I'm retired, so I research EVERYTHING!...I needed to do something with my lawn, (I enjoy a nice lawn), but due to some health issues, wasn't going to be able to do what I wanted, so started looking at ALL the Lawn Services...after several months, I chose Lawn Dr....for several reasons, no other competitor would stop by for a walk thru of my yard! We generally do the season-long schedule of applications, supplemented by additional services tailored to our particular situation(lack of sunlight, poor soil, lots of trees). Being a mom and a dog owner, there safety is my priority. They send text and email when they will be coming to spray my property. They post the little sign with the date of service. I have been home when they apply treatment, and have witnessed that they do an thorough job.
